About Our C.H.I.L.D.


This is the brainchild of the Founder, who has about a decade of experience in pre-school education. This concept of C.H.I.L.D. is an acronym for Convoke Hours In Learning Development meaning that this is an institution where there is a convergence of different methodologies to help a child to learn while having fun in developing basic skills.This concept has made C.H.I.L.D. one of the top pre-schools in Chennai. We would like to draw your attention to the colourful lines that constitute the border of our logo C.H.I.L.D: each colour has a distinct relevance to the mission of our institution.

Methodology

Different prevalent methods of learning have been adopted and implemented in deciding the syllabus and the kind of teaching systems to be applied in C.H.I.L.D. Deep studies have been undertaken by the Founders in Multiple Intelligence, Montessori and Reggio Emilia teaching techniques, to flower into the best play school in India.

Multiple Intelligence

According to Howard Gardner of Harvard’s theory, he has identified 9 distinct intelligences. These multiple intelligence is differ in the strength of individuals, so they are called as Profile of intelligences; which carries out different tasks, to solve diverse problems in various domains.

This is a approach basically focused on pre-school primary education . It is a Pedagogy, explaining about the nature of knowledge & learner centered education (or) personalized learning, that utilizes self directed learning through experience in a driven environment.

Principle of Reggio Emilia:


Children must have some control of their own learning

Children learn through communication with their peers & the things around the world

RED denotes the importance of making healthy choices which could be in food habits, the child’s attitude, physical activity which leads to a proper balanced life.

BLUE depicts the knowledge of alphabets and numbers which helps the child in creating his foundation of academics.
